Planning your garden just got easier with T&M’s new plant finder tool

Ever been stuck for ideas on what to plant where in your garden? Ever been stuck for ideas on what to plant in your garden full stop?

Garden Plant Finder_page1_image2Help is now at hand with the introduction this week of the Garden Plant Finder on Thompson & Morgan’s website. This handy search tool adds another innovative angle to the company’s multi-award-winning website.

Customers can click through to the Plant Finder from the home page via the Product Finder tab. Here begins an online shopping experience not dissimilar to that of a high street retailer. Any number of selections can be added to a search. Criteria available for selection should suit experienced gardeners - hardiness, soil acidity and type - as well as those beginner gardeners who may simply want to find easy-to-grow flowers in a certain colour scheme for their patio pots.

Over the past few weeks, Thompson & Morgan has asked some of its customers to test the plant finder. Their feedback suggests that it is useful to keep specifics to a minimum for an initial search as there are various options for refining the search once the preliminary results come up.

‘It’s always so useful to get constructive comments back from the people who use our website when we launch a new feature or tool’, said Clare Dixey, T&M’s Group eCommerce Manager. Clare said that one Facebook user was moved to post the following enthusiastic comment:Garden Plant Finder_page1_image1Thompson & Morgan is urging customers to try out the new plant finder feature at www.thompson-morgan.com/finder

Thompson & Morgan, based in Ipswich, Suffolk since 1855, is the UK’s most successful horticultural mail order company. Its product range includes an award-winning choice of seeds, young plants, bulbs, seed potatoes, onion and garlic sets, soft fruit and fruit trees, as well as an extensive range of gardening supplies.
