Review by Michael Smith (Veshengro)
Got a taste for gum candy but don't want gelatine and artificial stuff in them? Goody Good Stuff is the answer (and I am not getting paid to write this piece). Yes, they do contain sugar but primarily in the form of fructose.
I encountered these sweets – or candy, as our American cousins would call them – for the first time properly at the V-Delicious Show 2013 held in the beginning of June 2013 at London's Olympia Exhibition Center and I fell in love with them. But then again I do love some good sweet things, as longs as it is not carrot cake.
Goody Good Stuff is an all-new natural gummy candy range that is made with a plant derived bio-gum technology, which eliminates the need for animal-based gelatin, which most traditional gummy sweets use.
What is so different about Goody Good Stuff gummy sweets and regular ones. Aside from the already mentioned fact that they do not contain animal-based gelatine they also are reckoned to be fat free. They contain no neat products, no dairy, no alcohol, gluten, egg, soy, nuts or wheat and also contain no E-numbers.
They do a nice range of different gummy sweets and my personal favorite are Summer Peaches together with all the other sour versions. But all of them taste so real, just like the real thing.
One word of warning, however, aside from being seriously moreish IBS sufferers might be advised to refrain from overindulgence in those sweets as they do include natural fruit acids and can set off an IBS flare; I can vouch for that. Serves me well for being such glutton as far as those sweets are concerned.
The sweets are, as far as I can tell, all made in Austria.
