History has shown that each and every time a so-called civilization gets too far away from the land and from Nature it decays and, ultimately, becomes decadent, violent, and destroys itself.
In addition to that, at times one can but wonder as to civilization when one sees how people that are referred to as uncivilized have no crime, no one going hungry or uncared for, and such, while in our so-called civilized societies just the opposite happens.
If we commune with Nature, with Mother Earth, and work the land and the forests, society seems to be in much better a health than when we but leave that path a little bit.
The scary part, nowadays, is that not only the younger generation, in the majority, have a disregard for the land and for working it, but even the older generation has become so brainwashed in that they are saying now that we do not need farmers and farmers markets. We can buy all our food, they say, in the supermarket, where it is healthier and better than from any farmer.
People have, it would appear, become so brainwashed that they no longer understand where our food comes from and that we do need wood products, for instance, and that wood products, per example, are much better for the environment than substitutes, whether from plastics or other materials.
“When the Earth is ravaged and the animals are dying, a new tribe of people shall come unto the Earth from many colors, creeds and classes, and who by their actions and deeds shall make the Earth green again. They shall be known as the Warriors of the Rainbow.” ~ Hopi Prophesy
This new tribe of warriors is needed now to halt the decline and the destruction of the Planet in the name of progress and economic growth and in order to reconnect the people of the Earth with the land again.
When we reconnect with the land, with the Earth, with Mother Nature, we will not only heal the Earth but we will heal ourselves and our society. This healing will bring forth also then a new civilization for the old one is decaying and is on the way out.
When we learn again to value the land, the forests, and everything else natural of this Planet rather than worshiping the god of progress then we will heal the Earth, ourselves, and bring forth a new society, a new civilization; one that is worthy of the name civilization, but only then.
