CollidEscape Full Window Protector

Concord, NH : Birds fly into windows because they see the reflection of trees and sky and think the window is open fly space. Now with CollidEscape, Duncraft customers can make the outside of their window totally opaque while the inside view remains perfectly clear to the outdoors.

CollidEscape Full Window Protector is a vinyl sheet that covers the outside of a window and makes windows visible to birds—turning the outside of the window opaque, with no reflections. But CollidEscape doesn’t obstruct the homeowner’s or business owner’s view of the outdoors when looking out. Birds see no reflections of sky or trees and no longer see the window as open fly space.

Originally designed as a marketing device that could and can be printed with any image the customer wants, it was soon discovered that CollidEscape completely removed window reflections and effectively eliminated bird strikes where previously they had been occurring. Now Duncraft is delighted to offer this product to its customers to help save birds.

CollidEscape has a lifespan of approximately three years before it may need to be replaced. Each sheet is 3 x 4-1/2 feet, enough to entirely cover a standard window. Sheets may be butted together for larger installations such as patio doors or picture windows. Complete installation instructions are included.

In addition to full window protection, Duncraft also offers CollidEscape’s Territory Aggression Strip which is 6” high and 4’ wide. It’s extremely effective at preventing territorial birds from “attacking” windows near the sill when it sees its reflection. When the bird’s reflection is blocked, the bird no longer sees what it thinks is a competitor and annoying “attacking” behavior is stopped.

Founded in 1952 and located in Concord, New Hampshire, Duncraft’s objective is to bring the joy of backyard birding to wild bird lovers all across the country. Mike Dunn, owner and CEO is constantly inventing and searching for innovative ideas in bird feeding—giving bird lovers years of bird feeding enjoyment, success and satisfaction.
