aGREENtee Removes Garbage from Great Lakes Beaches

Partial proceeds from the Great Lakes Surf Co. shirt will fund clean-up of beaches on the Great Lakes.

New Buffalo, MI, April 2012 : aGREENtee this spring is donating $5 from every shirt sold toward removing trash and cleaning up beaches on the Great Lakes.

“Since the beginning of the year, we’ve collected more than 370 pounds of garbage and debris from area beaches,” said Doug Roch, founder of aGREENtee. “We are making a commitment to put $5 of the proceeds from the sale of our Great Lakes Surf Co. shirts, to care for the beautiful place that we call home. We’re also looking forward to creating enough momentum with our campaign that some other local businesses and partners will join us in the effort.”

aGREENtee staff organizes clean-up efforts year-round, with large scale events four times a year where awards are given to all participants. Customers and volunteers interested in more information can receive updates on Twitter at [@agreentee] and on the company’s Facebook page.
