Yes, there were also other military forces of other countries that have a part in this victory over the Hitler fascism but the brunt of it was carried by the Soviet Union, and here especially the ordinary people and the Red Army.
The American would like to lead the world to believe that it was the USA and its forces who defeated Hitler Germany and that almost single-handed and the movies that have been and are still being made in Hollywood are trying to paint just that picture. But this is not the case.
Had the USSR and the Soviet Army, and the Soviet people, held steadfast as they all did then the fascists had been able to take over all of Europe and brought all the people into bondage and thraldom. And for the fact that everything came different to how Hitler and his ilk had planned our gratitude for ever has to be directed at the glorious Soviet Army and its soldiers, as well as Soviet people and the partisan.

Am 8. Mai 2016 jaehrt sich zum 71ten Mal der Jahrestag der Befreiung vom Hitlerfaschismus durch die heldenhafte Sowjetarmee.
Ja, tatsaechlich waren auch andere Armeen beteiligt am Sieg ueber den Hitlerfaschismus aber die Hauptlast trug die Sowjetunion, und hier ganz besonders das einfache Volk, und die Rote Armee.
Die Amerikaner moechten der Welt immer gerne weismachen das es alleine die USA waren die Hitlerdeutschland besiegten und das fast einzelhaendig, und die File aus Hollywood singen dieses Lied ja fast immer. Diesem ist aber nicht so.
Waehren die UdSSR und die Sowjetarmee und das gesammte Volk des Landes so standhaft gewesen wie sie waren dann haetten die Faschisten ganz Europa unter ihre Knechtschaft gebracht. Und dafuer, das es anders kam als es Hitler und Seinesgleichen geplant hatten, muss unser Dank fuer immer der ruhmreichen Sowjetarmee und ihren Soldaten gelten, wie auch dem Volk und den Partisanen.
