Innovative ideas for a greener lifestyle will be shared with thousands of EcoVillage visitors at this year’s Kent County Show.
Now in its second year, the EcoVillage – supported by KOS Media – will showcase more than 80 exhibitors over a space of more than 5,000 square metres at Kent Showground, Detling, on the weekend of July 18 & 19, 2009.
Energy-efficient
Visitors can expect to find ideas for greener living from a wide range of industries including energy, gardening and transport, with car manufacturer Seat showing off its Ecomotive range and Greased Lightning Cycles demonstrating the latest in electric bikes.
Homeowners can also receive tips on how to make their houses more energy-efficient,while representatives from a number of eco-friendly firms will be on hand to discuss how to power your property using renewable energy.
Children will not be left out at the EcoVillage as the green toy-makers Paperpod and Playmais have booked spaces at the event, while Move ‘n’ Smooth will give them the chance to create their own tasty smoothies.
Eating will not be a problem either as Well Hung Meats and Goji Wah Wah will be providing organic food and gourmet vegetarian food respectively, all day at the green picnic area.
This year’s EcoVillage is sponsored by recycling specialists Countrystyle Group and Protect Kent – the Kent branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England.
