In Clovis, New Mexico, an anonymous donor who is being called "The Cowboy," went the extra mile this year, dropping an estimated $8,000 - $10,000 worth of gold and silver coins into the kettle.
This specific donation comes in handy as it will benefit the Clovis Salvation Army, that was in danger of severely missing their donation goals.
A local TV station reported that Salvation Army officials will be looking to get the rare coins appraised in the very near future to see how much the rare coins are worth.
Each year there is always one feel-good story about an extraordinary act of kindness, perpetuating the spirit of Christmas, and, with the state of the economy, on a global scale, as it is at present, such acts of kindness are what many people depend on.
